At McCormick Park, Bill volunteered to install a culvert in a low spot near trail post O that was quite wet and muddy. He removed dirt from a section of trail that had a few humps in it and covered the pipe and filled the low spot until it was level with the path on both ends of the low spot.
He then volunteered to excavate a path over an old windfall that was blocking the trail along the freeway north of trail post T. He removed dirt from the top and placed it on each side to make it easier to get over the obstruction.
Vernon then contoured the path to make it still easier to get over.
